Re: 2D manilla on apache?

Well I've got this running on a XV6700 Verizon. However, I can't install or link any apps to the Programs launcher. I've read sporadic writings about linking it to the registry, but they were kinda vague, and mostly for linking folders to it as opposed to apps. It looks like it can be done for apps as well but I am unsure which REG_ entry it needs to be. Anyone get the launcher working or can shed some light on this?

Re: 2D manilla on apache?

I can't get 19b to run on my 6700 it just does the loop.

Right now I was able to do a 20748 build with the services.exe patch and the diamond sounds a dialer skin, excel and word, and Total Commander in the Rom, and was able to get version 17 of the Manila 2D to install on my PPC without putting into the ROM, after i installed everything and did a restore on my contacts & appointments I have about 6.32 mb free on my storage and 15.34 on my program memory. Everything is working and it goes quite smooth now just to remember if I can edit my registry to have my texts and pics store on SD card or not, will get to searching on that one. And the weather does not like to do my local city still working on that.

Re: 2D manilla on apache?

Can someone help me out. I found my location code for the weather but it will not work but this one will and it is on the list. I've searched all over and tried all that I have found but with no luck have gotten it to work. Could it be a problem with the App?

Trying to get this to work.

NAM|US|UT|HURRICANE

World Accuweather Link: Here

And this will work:

NAM|US|UT|SALT LAKE CITY

World Accuweather Link: Here

I can't understand why it will not update the pages on Accuweather are identical. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

How much free mem you have left?

I have started using this OEM here with the best results for Apache yet and does not need the "fix" cab. I assume it is already included.

So far it I have the most mem space with it and although not totally working(some video issues), it certainly seems to be working good.

It is called "MegaPack_Manilla2d_Beta_0.07" from "rstoyguy"
Here is linK:

EDIT: OEM is large and using older version, so will be trying newest version next..

Re: 2D manilla on apache?

Installing 9b (All Devices) now we will see if this one works on the Apache it looks like it will fit on the 09 12meg file and have 18 meg left of storage. Will post results.

Re: 2D manilla on apache?

I found that the Manila 2D was running way to slow on my 6700 so I decided to wait until it goes a little farther and just keep watching and see if they streamline it anymore and go from there.

1. Ringer response was extremely slow would miss the call by the time the ringer sound would finally load.
2. TouchFlo would always reset when running any program.
3. Camera Program would take nearly 4 mins to load.
4. My storage memory was dwindled to nearly 1.2 megs free.

I'm sure I could get better results by cooking it but I just don't think this phone will run this app at the speed that would make me happy. May upgrade to the Touch Pro when it becomes available, keep hinting at it for my xmas gift but the wife keeps laughing at me when I do... ** sigh **

What ROM are you using?
I am using the LennySH_20273 Build wich is only 1meg more, but you should try the Helmi_19716 build to have over 3meg more space for OEMs. than the new 20748 Kitchen.

Then I would cook with the single OEM I stated earlier this page, the "MegaPack_Manilla2d_Beta_0.07" from "rstoyguy"
posted link here:
http://www.ppckitchen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5
I have opened the OEM and deleted out the YouTube, Audio_Booster, and Yahoo! Go files, and deleted it from the "initflashfiles.txt", but you dont have to do any of this...

Nothing else is needed and I have over 16-20megs free program memory and it is running good.
EDIT: for storage I have over 35megs free...

Using cab install is worst method as you get the issue you had with very little mem for both storage and programs.
