Application stuck in Startup Folder

I copied an application to the startup folder that was not complete or invalid. I can't delete it now because it gives me some sharing violation crap or tells me that it may be being used by another application. I've closed everything I know so nothing is running in memory and I still can't delete the thing. This is frustrating and anoying.

Anyone's help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Will it connect to the PC even though it's messing up? If so, you can get to it through there. I just tried going in through bootloader, doesn't work. You may have to hard reset.

Re: Application stuck in Startup Folder

In AS you open the File Explorer and go to the phones root directory and then into Windows and then you will see the Startup folder.

Okay problem could be that your machine doesn't hidden files. So, Go to settings>Control Panel>Folder options>View and select "Show hiddden files and folder"

Thanks. It was the "hidden files" issue. After getting into the Windows/Startup folder and attempting to delete the file, I get the same "sharing violation...in use" message and it won't let me delete it. Is there a way to force delete a file that the PPC is delusional about being in use?

Do you have any data you haven't backed up? If everything is backed up, hard reset. If not, I'm fresh out of ideas right now.

Re: Application stuck in Startup Folder

Seriously, does anyone know if it is possible to access the file system via bootloader?

Re: Application stuck in Startup Folder

If you can run programs, try editing the registry.

Or you can be real adventurous and try loading linux on a sd card.

Linux is horrible! Don't try that. God jabu some days you have good ideas then others you want people to ruin their phone. LOL
