yes, it has been discontinued. However, they should still have plenty of replacements.

Sprint discontinued the 6700 late last year, which was way too early in my opinion. The PPC6800 is its replacement and is slated to be out sometime in May (but nothing set in stone yet).
You could always call around to other stores to see if they have any 6700s in stock. Otherwise you're looking at the Treo 700wx most likely. There is also the Samsung i830w. The Q is a smartphone and not a pocket pc, so I wouldn't trade down to it. If it were me I'd try to make do with an old handset for a month and wait to buy the 6800. |

try ebay. there should be a few available there... don't count on the 6800 in the states anytime too soon, Telus has an exclusivity agreement with HTC on the 6800 for a few months at least.

Sprint is stocking the warehouses with the "Titan 6800" as we speak, once our initial bulk is ready to be shipped to retail the stores will start with a small stock and ramp up as HTC produces more to meet our initial forecasts.
Mid-May is Sprint's ETA to have the 6800 available in the retail channel. The exclusive contracts that are being reffered to are for the "Libra" not the model that Sprint signed to receive.

jbabey,
I've been thinking about this lately and as far back as I can remember, it was about a month after the 6600 and 6700 manuals appeared on the fcc that sprint had them fr sale (from telesales at least) so that sounds about right. judging from when the confidentiality expires on external, internal, and the revised manual on april 19th, mid to late may sounds right on. here's hoping we are both right |

Well I just had my 6700 replaced for the quintillianth time....and they finally gave me a new phone. I got the 700p and I was happy as ever. They gave me a BNIB 700p right in the store. I have to say I miss the simplicity of Palm OS. I can text and make phone calls and never have to touch the screen or slide out the annoying keyboard(big deal when you try to txt in class). Overall I am really pleased with the 700p and I am happy to leave Windows Mobile, even though I will probably come back to it soon enough.
