Which modules would be best?

Hey everyone! I am very new to the community and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me. I ordered my xv6700 a few days ago and I should be getting it pretty soon. From all the reviews I am pretty sure I am going to switch it over right away to wm6.1. I have downloaded the ppckitchen and have updated it completly for the Apache modules.

My real question is "What is a good set of modules to add to the phone to start out with?". I have been searching everywhere to try to find what other people have put on, but I just cant find anyones module list.

Re: Which modules would be best?

Depends what you want to do. Me, for example, I don't use bluetooth or teathering so I don't install any of that. I do WiFi and media so I tend to install that sort of stuff. What you want to do is going to shape what modules you should have.

Re: Which modules would be best?

I totally understand what you are saying. If you don't use it, don't install it. Im just a little flustered when it comes picking out the right ones to use. Im going to be using my Apache to surf the internet alot so which browser would be best? Opera? IE? Also under Multimedia I have no idea what I need. HTC Audio Manager? Flash Video bundle?

Sorry for all the noobish questions, I just want to understand this and get it right so if somone asks me I will be able to explain it to them better also. Thanks!

http://www.skyfire.com/sign-up
Go there and get Skyfire. It's a new beta browser that has all the internet plugins built in. So you don't have to install a bunch of plugins and packages, etc. Use the code Michael8 to get into the beta.

It takes a little getting used to, but once you do it is a friggin awesome browser.

Re: Which modules would be best?

I personally use Opera. I like it a lot. Petty much what jabu said, if you don't don't use it get rid of it.

Re: Which modules would be best?

You will setup your phone many many times before you end up getting it right where you want it so dont try or even think about trying to get everything done on the first time around.

Re: Which modules would be best?

What you might do is install a ROM with no add on applications. Then go manually install any apps you think you might want. That way you can remove them if you don't like them. Then you can make a list of apps you like and cook up a ROM with them in it.

That's another good idea. As well.
