Radio - can't make outbound call if use data connection

Very strange problem I'm having. My phone can make/receive phone calls if there is no DATA connection going on. As soon as I make a DATA connection (Opera, IE) and then try and make an outbound call, I get an error. I have to click on the Ev icon at the top, Data Network Connect (Dial-Up) and click Disconnect. Then I can make an outbound call. The strange thing is I can still RECEIVE phone calls.

Been happening a lot, but now I'm trying to duplicate it and am not getting the error or I would include the error message.

I did recently upgrade the radio to 1.41. Maybe I should go to 1.43?
