Yeah. The issue is that the bottom of the mainboard has to drop over that bloody plastic peg. It can get so frustrating that you forget to pay attention to the top of the board, where the slider is. It is WAY too easy to have it all *SNAP* into place and bust the peg off the slider. It's happened to me twice now, and it sucks having to use the windows volume control.

Toss it. If you didn't see where it came from, you'll NEVER figure it out. I spent days trying. General consensus on the forum is it is expendable.

I think the rubber block is just that to cushion the main board in an event of dropping or what not.
