Bluetooth issue -- possible hardware problem

I believe the problem I'm having is hardware related but not sure and thought it was time to pose the question.

XV-6700 Verizon running Saridnours 3.5 pr5 SP1. I can connect a bluetooth device like my plantronics headset but the Phone must be within inches of the headset for it to work.

I tested this with a co-workers phone and the same thing occurred.

I think it's a hardware issue but I haven't seen any posts anywhere about anyone else having this problem. Or any good thread on taking the 6700 apart and which solder joints to check.

Anyone have an idea or know where to point me?

No, it's not underwarranty
