Yeah, tested it this weekend and it worked like a charm on first try. And the speed is amazing. Now I'll see if sprint will send a bill for it. :D

I just use the usb cable. If I remember correctly, I think activesync will turn off when you start the usb modem dialer.

well, i figured it out. It didnt work without the activesync installed on it, sadly the cd has the drivers needed to operate the phone with the pc..........unless i did something wrong. I do understand u say the activesync turns off WHEN u have them installed

This is My favorite trick to show so I do it all the time. When you turn on the phone as a modem in the PPC thin connect, the activesync wont start. The drivers you installed in your computer will let the computer recognize the PPC as a modem then you run the dialer program. That is it, I get 270 kbps in my area.

i saw that :P i just think it would be neat if u didnt have to.. Like in my situation, i didnt have a way to transter the files to the actual pc hard drive to install them. But i see waht u are saying

Fees for using 6700 as a modem

Does Sprint charge and additional fee other than minutes if you use the 6700 as a modem?

Wideawake 07-03-2006 10:30 PM

I have used mine as a modem for awhile, with no charges.
