Kirvin Custom AKU 3.3 Apache Kitchen....Virus ???

While just doing a virus scan, my results came up as...

Scan type: Manual Scan
Event: Virus Found!
Virus name: Trojan.Packed.13
File: F:\PPC-6700\Romz\Kirvin Custom AKU 3.3 Apache Kitchen.zip>>OEM/Total Commander 2.5/LAN.tfx
Location: Quarantine
Computer: ADMINISTRATOR
User: XXXXXX
Action taken: Clean failed : Quarantine succeeded :
Date found: Sat Mar 24 02:35:00 2007

Infections found:

F:\PPC-6700\Romz\Kirvin Custom AKU 3.3 Apache Kitchen.zip
OEM/Total Commander 2.5/registry.tfx

F:\PPC-6700\Threaded Messaging\vjslippypalm.cab

My system is set to scan nightly and I've had this rom on my computer for at least 3 weeks.

I updated my definitions and this is the result of it.
Symantec detected it; AVG Pro doesnt.

So now I need to know if a virus can be contained in any of these roms?

I've hard reset and restored my 6700 (Sprint) back to factory defaults. I liked this rom a lot, but these results have me paranoid as hell.

Also, could a virus blow the internal speaker; cause mine is shot and I've only had this phone a month.

TIA...All answers greatly appreciated.

It's almost assuredly a false positive. That file (LAN.tfx) is truly part of total commander and is not even an executable so there's no virus.

This has happened many times in the past with various virus vendors. They look for certain signatures to identify various viruses and sometimes either due to an error on their part or just being too broad in their criteria innocent files get flagged.

There really are no legitimate windows mobile viruses in existance (yet, anyway). I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Didn't something like this come up before with someone else's custom ROM? I'm almost positive this issue was raised a few months ago.

I think it might have been reported over on pdaphonehome.com; I'm not seeing it after searching here.
