I use 40iPlay for most media file. You can choose what you want it to play. I still have TCPMP on my ppc just incase.

Send a message via AIM to psychotic
reinstall windows media player, that should fix it. it should be in the extended rom if it loaded itself. I'd access the extended rom and see if the cab file is there and reload it. I'm not positive it is in extended rom, but I know it wouldn't be hard to find online either.

HKLM\software\microsoft\mediaplayer\MLS\Extensions
string value
mp3=audio

See if that fixes it.

File associations are in HKCR

so like HKCR\.mp3
and then you edit whatever the .mp3 default value is, normally it would be
HKCR\MP3File

Or you could just use total commander 2.5 beta 2 or something similar to do the file association. In TC 2.5 you just goto properties of a file and there is an associate tab.
