Re: Ppc-6700 Sound Problems

does it make any sound?

If not, plug and un-plug the headphones in and out a few times and it should clear up the issue.

If the phone only makes a few select sounds, then it's a software / settings issue.

Hi Tony,

The Sprint PPC-6700 doesnt make any noises. I did what you said and plugged the headphones in and out. When I plug the headphones in I do get sound from the headphones but not the PPC-6700 itself. Do you have any other sugestions?

Try hard resetting once again. And what was the reason for hard resetting the first time? Did it have someone elses data or was there a problem with it?

dont worry dear .. your problem is typical and obvious and prob hard setting wont work. its just that coz of using ur headphones ur jacks inside are shorted or out of contact.. try the headphones insertions again. if that doesnt work then take a pin to push apart the metal connectors inside the jack of the ppc.. do this with the music player on.. when u do it correct it ll start working.. then u just need to push it the right way n stop there.. and never use the headphones again.. this problem may recur again also if u jerk ur ph.. but then this is the only solution.. course u can open up the ph and try to repair it or reposition the jacks.. this is a known issue with this ph.. the jack contacts are too sensitive.. and using headphoens spoils it sooner or later.. besides all our devices are atleast 2 years old.
good luck..
