Re: TouchFlo Cube Contact Screen on Apache?
After some further search, my understanding is that the issue is associated with the Quickdialer application that is responsible for that face of the cube, and that Quickdialer may not work under WM6.1... Any assistance would be appreciated... G^2

Re: TouchFlo Cube Contact Screen on Apache?
Winstonwolf,
I was attempting to use the TouchFlo Cube Suite that is provided by BuildOS... I'd very much appreciate it if you could mail me the files! That would be great! Thanks! G^2 |

Re: TouchFlo Cube Contact Screen on Apache?
Hi !!
Can u provide me with the whole set up of WM6.1 with touch flow suite and guide me through the process. I am based in India using Reliance Mobile, however will get Ext-ROM from here. So what i need is only WM6.1 and Touch Flow suite and your guidance to upgrade from WM6. My current ROM is highly unstable and doesn't even allow me to downgrade to WM5. While downgrading to WM5 it gives an error "This is not designed for this device". I would be glad if u can help me in fully cleaning my handset with all of registry and update with a new ROM either WM5 or WM6.1 (with Touch Flow). Thanking you in anticipation Regards Raju Quote:

Re: TouchFlo Cube Contact Screen on Apache?
Seriously? WM6.1 and the Cube? There is a recipe for disaster. I would recommend ditching the cube. But if you enjoy reflashing your phone once a month, go for it.

Re: TouchFlo Cube Contact Screen on Apache?
As a follow-up, after winstonwolf's referred me to sclpf (thanks winstonwolf!), I was able to find the thread/source files on the xda-developer.com forums. Also, the same author developed a C++ version of sclpf called sclpc++ that doesn't require flashlite support, appears to be an easier install, and offers some minor functionality improvements (e.g. cube control by the d-pad). The primary downside is that it would appear that both sclpf and sclpc++ have been abandoned by their author, so no further development/bug fixes appear forthcoming...
If anyone has recommendations for alternatives, I'd be very interested in hearing them... G^2 |

Re: TouchFlo Cube Contact Screen on Apache?
Raju,
You'll want to check out the Apache Upgrades sub-forum, which has instructions on flashing to WM6.1 ROM in the stickies at the top of the forum (there are two packages to choose from). The instructions use the BuildOS tool which imports the correct carrier ExtROM, and it even includes an ExtROM for Reliance India, so you won't have to acquire it separately. TouchFlo can also be cooked in at the same time... As a total noob myself, I found it suprisinly easy to upgrade my stock Apache from WM5 to WM6.1 and customize it with the applications I desired... These folks have done a phenomenal job around here! G^2 |
