Using Colonels latest, does/can sprint charge for MMS?

I think that I'm paying Sprint quite enough for what I use the phone for. That being said, I want to maximize what I can do, like everyone else. I have not paid much attention to the SMS or MMS features of the 6700. Every once in a while, I get a message and haven't seen a charge for it on my bill.

Can I send MMS messages without accruing an extra charge? If so, how. I haven't seen a walk thru on setting up a MMS system.

Thanks for all your help,

Dave

"Picture Mail" will cost you (to send, and recv), unless you add it to your service. It burns SMS messages, and access to the picturemail site.

You can send email with attachments (good old, real, live, MIME-encoded attachments) and recv. email w/ attachments, assuming you've got POP, IMAP, or Exchange Email somewhere.

You'll need the software - search for "real picturemail for ppc" or something like that here... or someone more bored then me will post the link.

Me personally, I just use email.

well unlimited mms came included with the $15 vision internet plan sprint provided me, wich I found odd since you really can't send mms messages with ppc 6700. I tryed to get it swaped with unlimited sms or cheaper because it didn't make any since to me since you have to email mms's to the other party at their service providers email address (example 555-555-5555 @ sprintpcs) and you can't even set it up to use your own phone number's email address to send it as far as I know. but she wouldn't allow me any options other then $15 dollars more for unlimited text on top of $15 for unlimited vison mms. and I told her my brother has unlimited vision and unlimited text for only $15 and she said he has an older plan that they no longer offer.... anyway... its obvious to me that mms is free with vision because its using the internet to send them unlike the traditonal sms text that i believe uses a medium (whatever I use aim on my phone to send text to other ppl anyway so its still unlimited for me, just got put a lil more effort to set it up, and with unlimited skype out i have unlimited anytime mins aswell but thats off the topic) ok so.. theres a program going around these forums that allows you to send a mms easyer... that is sending one without having to accessing a email address to the number. I would love to give you the link but since I don't post much I don't have that privilage... but its on here just use the search box

I called customer service and asked them why I was paying $15 for the internet. They went through and talked about tv and mms. So I asked the rep how to send mms on my phone. A few minutes later and after talking to 2 techs, she changed it to $10 for internet and $10 for unlimited sms.

Why pay for MMS and live tv when you device doesn't handle it. Then I installed the hack and sprint hasn't noticed. What can they say anyway?

SMS != MMS
MMS is media messaging, like when you send a picture. SMS is text messaging.
