Odd. read your post and tried SMS to myself and went fine. Using Kirvan's cleanand simple 3.5 for sprint on my Bell Mobility 6700. Haven't bothered trying MMS, as I have no idea on the settings.

I tried that one, but i kept getting stuck at the "Sprint" screen. It wouldn't load into the OS. I've put on the version of this for "any apache" and I still have the same problem with sending SMS messages. I have also reverted back to 3.3, and i have the same problem there.

Anyone have any ideas?

Send a message via MSN to rockdamic
I'm running Kirvin's 3.5 "Stock" ROM on my Bell 6700 and it is working beautifully and everything i used to do on 2.1 still is 100% functional.

I had tried several other ROMs and IMHO this is the best one, for the simple reason that it is not filled w/ useless, unrelated apps.

Just tried that one as well rockdamic. No go.
It's something wrong with the device i'm guessing. I can recieve them fine, its just not sending at all.

Are there any specific settings for SMS?

Not sure if this is normal. It works when I send a message using a contact, or a number with an area code, but not when you use a 7 digit number. the reason this is weird is because 10 digit dialing is not necessary here.

AKU 3.5 no Junk ROM

I have loaded the AKU 3.5 no junk ROM, this has less apps that the other AKU 3.5 "stock" ROM. I am a Bell Mobility user, the SMS works for me. All the communications functions seem to work fine.

My only issues are:

No "Explore Pocket PC" in my activesync 4.5 (worked with Bell standard ROM)

The tasks in standard Pocket Office do not filter properly.

The A2DP works somewhat better, I still get some skipping, (lots of skipping on WMP 10), less on Mort Player or TCMP.

Ev-DO works fine and 1X works as well. Email works also.

I have been able to send and receive sms messages.
