White Screen on Wake-Up

I've spent many hours searching all of the forums and found no "White Screen" problem described like mine... The problem is that if I wake my PPC from sleep using any of the buttons, I get a white screen that can only be resolved by resetting from the boot-loader screen -- this problem DOES NOT occur if I wake my device by sliding it open. During this white-out, I can answer calls, nothing more.

In case it had something to do with the Helmi rom, I installed the Lenny rom last night, but 1) the white screen problem not only persists, 2) I'm now having trouble getting the PPC into boot-loader mode, 3) it sees but won't connect to wifi access points, and 4) it recognizes my memory card and correctly reads its space available (8gb SDHC), but whenever I try to save something to my card, it tells me there's no space.

This is more of an inconvenience than anything else -- I can live with it. I can re-install the Helmi rom, and as long as I am careful that none of the buttons are pushed while it sleeps, it should work perfectly.

I'm quite certain that the problem is with something I did or did not select in the kitchen or within my phone's settings, so I would appreciate any one pointing-out the obvious to me. Thank you!!

(Verizon XV6700, bootloader v. 1.04)

Re: White Screen on Wake-Up

Kinda sounds like a running program that's jumping to the foreground.

Are you using any kind of task manager program? WKTask is what solves all the world's problems for me. Windows Mobile is a really poor platform that causes odd problems like that out of nowhere. Alternatively, check out your "running programs" list somewhere in Settings - I think it used to be under "memory" but I can't remember - I haven't used it in so long :P

edit: You can also prevent the buttons from turning on the PPC, I think it's somewhere in the Lock or Power settings, so it'll only turn on with the power button (most of the time at least...), like it should.

edit edit: Ah, it's under Buttons. And that dang "running programs" control seems to have been removed in WM6! Who is the crack pot at Microsoft that thought that move up?
edit edit: "Sprint" PPC-6700, bootloader 1.00 here - is that rare or what?

Re: White Screen on Wake-Up

Thank you. WKTask seems to be the fix I needed. I don't really understand what it does or how it does it -- just that when I close a program, it is actually closed. I went back to the Helmi kitchen, and all of the other problems I had with the Lenny kitchen disappeared.
