Re: New-to-Me xv6700 verizon--lots of noob questions
Check out ppcfreeware.com, you can find a ton of free stuff there. As far as putting apps on you need to download the .cab file for the apps to your desktop, after you sync your phone you should be able to seach files on your phone via your computer, next drag and drop the .cab file to "my documents" on your phone. Go to your phone, go to programs, file explore, "my documents" file, and find the .cab file. Double tap it and the program should install. Some files will install via an exe file.
As far as the flash, there should be a button on the screen of when you activate the camera.

Re: New-to-Me xv6700 verizon--lots of noob questions
Some people make thier own layouts or themes. Some people use Wisbar Advanced and Wisbar Desktop to make them. There are lots of premade layouts and screens you can download and use. There are some threads around here of people posting thier today screens, themes, backgrounds, splash screens and whatever else you can think of.
Keep in mind the WiFi on the 67 only does 802.11b and not 802.11g. It also uses a good bit of battery and because the unit is so small it can only poll for hotspots so far. Thats just how it is with small devices. You can try to upgrade your radio (assuming you havent yet) but I doubt you will see much (if any) difference.
