Quick Questions...

Is there a way to get the power button to actually power down the ppc 6700 rather than put it to sleep or shut off the backlight? I have been searching around and so far it seems the only way to power down is to remove the battery... a laborious process to be sure.

Thanks!
Maddog

Re: Quick Questions...

The ppc HAS to stay "on" in order to give you alarms and reminders, receive text messages as well as calls. The whole WM platform is designed around the fact that the unit is always running at one level or another.

Flight mode is the closest thing to "off", (BT, WiFi, and both CDMA radios are off) if you're looking to save on battery life.

Re: Quick Questions...

Right, but I had seen several other WM 6.1 phones (made by HTC) with the ability to turn all the way off. It is not so much for battery power, I just like to turn it off when I charge it overnight.

Re: Quick Questions...

There is no way to complete turn it off coming short of pulling the battery for a sec
