Sprint Update before 3.5 update for radio update?

Subject line hints at my question. I'm running an older ROM since it was swapped out (gotta love TEP). Currently on 2.06.00 WWE (2/22/06) with radio 1.12.00 and PRI of 1.17_003. I want to make sure I get the phone priority mode (call interrupts data) as well as data roaming.

Do I need to upgrade to the latest Sprint ROM first, and then upgrade using one of the 3.5 variants (I'm leaning towards Saridnoursâ€™), or do the 3.5 updates also have the radio/PRI updates as well?
