Trying to find it dmack. One thing I don't get is that your info should be "OS 5.1.195 (Build 15698 ****)". This is the same OS version and an older build.

Okay, I found the strings in the hex, but they are the same in both the 2.2 and the 3.x. I am basing this on the following link post #417.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...on#post1153206 dmackdaddy, when you have Goodlink running on 2.2, what are the version and build numbers? Also, have you tried changing the AKU in the registry to just 2.0.0 as is discussed in this thread, post 3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...+build+version I know these are discussions about blackberry, but I am assuming that the issues are similar. |

What are your build and version numbers with the 2.2 rom installed? Did you try just 2.0.0 and not 2.2.0?

The highest build it will work on is:
Microsoft Windows Mobile Version 5.0 OS 5.1.195 (Build 14928.2.2.0) Anything over that, I get errors or it won't install. Yes, I tried .2.2.0, .2.0.0, .6.0.0, .3.5.0. I evern tried to restore while changing to .2.2.0. So the only thing left is the Build 14928. |

The aku version number is not the same thing as the os version number. For example, wm5 aku 3.3 will read as 5.1.X, and wm6 will read as 5.2.x. You can change the version of the os to read as a lower version by hex editing the os version directly in the nba file. This is the easiest way as you don't have to extract the xip section and reinsert it back into the nba file. That being said, it still is probably not worth messing with. You're messing with the core of the os. If you mess up and put the wrong hex value or edit the wrong byte, you can perma-brick your device.
