Switching phone # to my 6700 from pay as you go

I am wondering if it is possible to switch my pay as you go telus phone number to an extra telus 6700 I have laying around. I asked the people at telus and they told me that it is possible to do so but I need to have a contract.
I figure that is possible to do so, but am not sure how to proceed.

Any advice? Is it even possible?

As long as Telus sold the phone you should be able to take it in and have it switched over. But having to extend or get a contract to do so is way out of line as far as im concerned but its your choice.

Telus did sell me the phone, but when I brought it in they told me they wouldnt change over the phone line. Right now, I have the phone line on a samsung phone, what I am looking to do is have the number on my 6700.

Okay you should be able to call them or bring the phone in to thier retail stores to have it done. Just update your PRL after doing so.

Ok, so I called and was told that the process takes about 5 minutes to complete and there is 25$ charge to do so. Will be swapping very soon!!

Re: Switching phone # to my 6700 from pay as you go

$25 charge to do so? Thats harsh. Alltel has never charged me and ive done it so many times with the same number. Ive gone from Moto E815 to Moto V60i back to Moto E815 to Moto RAZR V3m to Moto W315 to PPC 6700 to Blackberry 8830 World edition. Although after owning the RAZR it pissed me off so much i got creative and turned it into a pile of 100 pieces. I never felt better after i did that. lol. But im glad it worked out for you. GL
