Help! XV6700 won't charge/sync

Thanks for the quick reply! Ok I followed your steps about the AC adapter and it will now charge off of that which is better than nothing. But if i try to plug it in to the pc and follow the same steps as with the ac adapter, it charges while the lcd is off, but the computer/activesync doesn't even detect a device and as soon as i turn the lcd back on the charging stops. What time period are we looking at? How long has this been happening, and how long have you had the phone, before this occured?
