EV icon from the old sprint rom

I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but I was wondering if there and was anyway to get the old EV on top of the signal bars when your connected to ev-do vs th new one where it has EV plus the singnal bars and the <> arrows on top of it.

I personally believe this needs to be a priority.

Well in AKU 3, MSFT added the functionality of displaying the network type in the signal strength icon. It's speculated that in the process the method the Apache uses to display network type (1x/EV) and data arrows in the network icon no longer works aka is broken.

We have verified that the dll containing those bits as well as the requisite registry entries exist on the AKU 3.x ROMs, the OS just does not use them.

That's about as far as we can get (priority or not) at the current time. When we start seeing some CDMA devices on the market with official AKU 3.x or WM6 ROMs then perhaps we can revisit the issue.
