Cant run CreateOS.exe....help

I am trying to figure out how to cook my own. I have downloaded a number of different kitchens. But when I try to run CreatOS.exe I always get the following error.....

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem."

I have installed the newest NetCF2.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

1. Which kitchens are you trying to run? There was a prior pre-release of the uniform kitchen project that did not work.

2. Are you using VISTA (I am pretty sure it doesn't work for VISTA without a work around).

I am running XP sp2 on my desktop and laptop, had the same trouble on both.

Have tried the following kitchens:

helmi_Apache_kitchen_3.5_PPCGeeks.rar
helmi_Apache_kitchen_3.5_ImCoKeMaN_R3

maybe one other.

Thanks again for the help.

I'm sure you realize this and this is just semantics, but you need the .net framework 2.0, not the .net compact framework 2.0.

also, you need msvcr71.dll, which isnt in the kitchen. (this has been fixed in the latest build of the kitchen...) as to a source if you dont have it, i'd say google.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
