Noob question: Smartphone or PocketPC?

Alot of apps I want to download for my Apache have different versions for "PocketPC" and "Windows Mobile Smartphone". Is there a difference? If so, which is the Apache?

Re: Noob question: Smartphone or PocketPC?

the difference between PocketPc and "Smartphone" is the touch screen. smartphones are devices such as AT&T's Blackjack II, Sprint/Verizon's Motorola Q, and T-Mobile's Dash. Smartphone means it doesn't have a touch screen. PocketPC and Smart Device means touch screen phone, so your Apache is a PocketPC/Smart Device

Re: Noob question: Smartphone or PocketPC?

also you can look at it this way as well,

if it doesn't come with a stylus, it's a "Smartphone" and not a "PocketPC"
