App for ppc6700 picture mail from ppc6600?

Anyone here remember that reaaaaallly cool app that the sprint ppc6600's had built into them for the picture mail?

Has anyone ever tried to get that to work on our beloved 6700's?

Does anyone have the install for that program anywhere?

Thanks!

I'd be very interested in finding out about this. I don't have (unfortunately) the tech know-how to do it, but if someone wants to try it that doesn't have a 6600, i'd be willing to donate some cash to find out if it's possible.

Any takers?

Well I think I could probably do it. I had a 6600 until a couple of weeks ago (broke it beyond repair) - so I don't have the file anymore.

We don't need a 6600 to do it - all we need is one teenee weenee little file from the ext_rom. I was *hoping* I could get someone (aaaanyone) with a 6600 to just send me that cab file so I could play around with it.

Is there even a 6600 section on this fourm? I posted this in the 6600 section on pdaphonehome.com but strangely enough no one seems to be responding to my request....

Ok, I know nothing. Here's a thought... http://www.utstar.com/pcd/downloads/...00140_6601.exe is the rom from the 6600. Download/unzip/extract the files from the extrom?

I downloaded it and sure enough, there is a _ms.nbk, but I'm not on my pc with all of the kitchen/tools that I'd need to move forward getting the files out.

I'm not a rom guy, but can we use xda2nbftool to decrypt the nbf into an nba, and then mount it on a pc, or can we just slap it on our 6700?

Wow I got to dig through my old 6600 archive to find this... seems like more than two years ago somehow. Things were so simple back then

All I did was pull the file from the 6600 extrom. It has not been modified in any way so I expect that it will not work on the 6700.
