Re: VoIP SIP on PPC6700/WM6.1?
It will work, kinda. Since your on the GSM network you'll HAVE to use wifi because 3G doesnt have enough bandwidth to really work right. - but, in theory, it should work just fine over wifi.

Re: VoIP SIP on PPC6700/WM6.1?
Did you run the voip setup program? Are you sure you have the info entered properly.
You might want to try installing sjphone (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...1-60-303c.html) and see if you can get it to work. If you can, then you know for sure you've got the settings right. In my cause I used a gizmo5 account, and it took me some tinkering with sjphone to finally get it to where I knew the settings were good, THEN I went and did the voipsetup program and it worked just fine. The only issue I have is that the todayscreen plugin doesn't work - however I've heard that this is the case for most people. |

Re: VoIP SIP on PPC6700/WM6.1?
I have been using the SJLABS voip phone and use it with to different VOIP accounts. If you play with the audio setting and rest the delays, you will have a very good software.

Quote:
1. In the sjphone application, there is a way to assign a hardware key to minimize the application. DO THIS. It allows you to minimize, maximize the application by by hitting the hardware button you pick. Its a good idea because otheriwse it takes to long to do those actions. 2. Have a bluetooth or wired earpiece. Unforntualy it uses the external speaker (although I hear there is a paid proggy you can buy running loose to fix this issue now) - all the other 3rd party voIP programs for WM have this same issue (I've tried like 10 of them now). 3. It doesnt use much memory to run, but it eats 100% of your cpu time - so it eats batterys. 4. Since it doesnt use the native dialer, you can really use it with MS voice command. Even with all these things in mind however, it's still by far the best 3rd party voIP app for WM that I've seen. Heck I even use the desktop version now. Only thing lacking in that one is no support for video chatting. |
