Help! I would like to ask for help getting an MMS OEM 4 spr

colonel & fin & unknown all have MMS OEM packages on the FTP. When downloaded and looked at, they all have .rgu REGISTRY entries that build in an MMS Account, and set all the settings for the Sprint MMS server.

if you break down the cab from wideawake, there is a platformxxx.reg that is nearly identical to those in the OEM packages, it just doesnt build the inbox settings in outlook for MMS.

if you break down the *working* verizon OEM package, it is also nearly identical to the other 4 packages.

when i build any of the packages in the kitchen, ALL of the settings work great! They all import, unmodified and exactly as they appear in the .rgu...... but none of them *work*. You can take a picture, you can "send via MMS", hell it even goes through fine with no errors...... and nobody gets the message. with the vz one, you change the server info, send, and same issue.

im clueless. Ive even made my own OEM packages and not altered or touched the reg files at all... build it in.... MANUALLY input the server settings... and still it wont work. same as above, it sends, no errors... but nobody ever gets the picture.

I have grabbed the oldest version of arcsoft mms i could find from 2 years ago.... the one that installs and the server settings are still locked so you have to go in the registry and unlock it...... same issue. sends fine, nobody gets it.

yet... if i DONT build it into the rom, and install the cab file... works fine!

If you do a reg dump, install arcsoft and reg dump.... do a compare, and build an RGU ..... (is identical to fin's package) again it sends fine, but nobody gets the messages.

I have officialy.... officialy, hit my technical level of expertise with getting this to work properly, and its making me nutz!

I would like to ask, that those of you more skilled than I (and i KNOW your out there!!!) to please assist me with getting a working package.

fyi, the *working verizon oem* is just one taken from an existing OEM (from the ftp, the one named \OEM\MMS_3.0.16.16. I flashed it on my spare phone, and it didnt work. So, I exported the reg from my working phone (running vzw mms cab from official vzw ext_rom) exported the registry, and edited it into my rgu.

Have you checked to make sure you have that key in there that I talked about, the one that has your 10 digit number in there?

It's working fine for me. (tested to my razr just fine)

ill take another crack at it... what program are you exporting your registry with and using to compare.

is there a way you can send me the CAB file off your extended ROM so im working with an unmodified install?

digging around i found that this is the cab file i need

Apache_VZW_MMS3.0.6.24_20060124.CAB

found it on the FTP, thanks, ill start from scratch..... again.......

I have been wholly unsuccesful getting a working OEM, anyone else come up with anything ?

All MMS oems are useless and do not work. They flash fine and look pretty on the phone, but they do not send(even though it says it does & if it does where to I don't know) and then never is received.
