Crawj Two questions 1) when you insatalled and did your reg dump did you tweak the reg you had before you dumped or is this just the stock reg settings after install? Reason I ask, I noticed some good tweaks in your old reg file and im wondering if they are still there in this one?
2) do you still have a copy of the old rgu from your OEM cuz I overwrote my copy when you posted the new one. 3) Forgive my noobness but..What are you guys using to dump your before and after from the PPC???

colonel....Good luck with that, I know if anyone can make sense of it your the one to make it happen. I did a compare of his old rgu to the new one with compare it and there were so many changes the lines from old to new entries looked like a vortex map. I lost track 10 lines in. I posted a compare from your oem, to his original, (works -WMP) and the stock cab, in..

I hope it helps some.

1)This was tweaked with My personal settings. I took out my voicecommand oem but kept everything else the same. I did the dump installed the retail voicecommand and dumped again.
2)I will look for the original copy.
3)I use phmregedit to dump and compareit to compare.

Try changing HKLM\software\microsoft\voicecommand\speech\Reject ionThreshold

from 45 to 10

This setting determines when Voice Command says "Please Repeat". If the confidence score from the recognizer is below that threshold and above the ignore threshold (10) it will ask for a repeat. It turns out the engine is getting it right plenty of times and we're throwing away a perfectly good recognition because this threshold is too high. Change it to 10 and you might find you get better accuracy.

Another one you might want to set:
HKLM\software\microsoft\voicecommand\speech\Blueto othPTTDelay

this one isn't actually set anywhere by default, but it does have an impact. By default, when initiated via bluetooth, Voice Command will open the bluetooth audio gateway, and then wait for 400 ms before playing the audio indicator. Well, on the jawbone, it seems that keeping the audio channel open a bit longer improves accuracy. Also, this value is apparently too small on some headsets and results in some people not hearing the audio indicator. So you might want to try setting this value to 2000 (the maximum), which will cause VC to open the audio channel, wait for 2 seconds and then play the indicator.
Thanks for the find I will test it out and see how it goes.

Crawj, just to clarify what Im asking is are your personal tweaks still included in this new rgu on the ftp. Cause the only change I had to make to yours was for attenuation category and init volume and the ttsrate I slow down so I can actually comprehend what she is saying. These two plus whatever you tweaked in the original gave me an almost perfect relationship with michelle Dont tell my wife. I was thinking if you ripped the old one did a stock install then dumped, we may have lost all your personal tweaks. Also I did the rejection threshold from above and it works very well. My stock setting was at 36 not 45 though. The PTTdelay I have not tried yet, Let me know how that works out for ya. I've been using resco regedit and cant seem to find a place to do a dump,Ahh more reading.

Oh sorry yes it has the personal VoiceCommand tweaks included. Button 5 fix, attenuation change and so on. There should be an export option in resco. It has been a while since I used it but remember seeing it. Send me the mods you made so I can test those as well.

Crawj

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Speech\Voices]

-=Change between 5 fastest and 1 slowest=-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Voi ceCommand1]

"Script"="p"
"InitVol"=dword:00000005
"AttenuationCategory"=dword:00000003
-=InitVol I changed to 3 My old install I had it at 40? It worked fine but I've never compared the setting of 40 to 3=-
-=AttenuationCategory I have set at 1=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Suspend]
"btl1:"=dword:00000002
"dsk1:"=dword:00000002
-=these are both added entries to keep the bluetooth and sd card from completely powering down when going into suspend. btl1 is the name for bluetooth and dsk1 is the name for the sd card. With these changed I noticed a difference in older roms especially when running apps from sd card and initial usage of bluetooth after it had been idle for a long time. I havent really used them on the 3.5 r1.2 pre2 So I think they may already have an entry in there that does this??=-

stupid question, but is it the OEM that just says Voice Command? I finally have my PC running and have been itching to flash something.

colonel Yes that is the oem we are talkin about. IMHO I think m$vc coupled with IDtransfer is what finally makes the apache, on the phone side, everything it should have been out of the box. Now it doesn't bother me so much that I can't see the screen during the day,or that the touch dialing is next to impossible without a stylus.Now I can make it through my work day without having to take it out of my pocket till I get to my next location
