Need for Speed!

Guys,
On my PPC-6700, I have about 20 programs installed on the main memory, leaving about 10 MBs free. I also have a 1 GB SD card but I got it later so it’s pretty much empty. I like all the programs I have on there but it is extremely slow to respond. I really hate how long I have to wait for the phone dial pad or the contacts to come up.

My question is that IF I uninstall all the programs or do a Hard Reset and then install about 18 of those applications on my SD card, will it make a difference in the speed? I am guessing that with all the applications installed I will have about 20 MBs free on the main memory.

What is it that makes the PPC so slow? I remember how zippy if was when I first got it out of the box!

All help will be greatly appreciated

our 6700s are very similar to actual PCs. if you notice, the more programs you onstall on your pc the slower it will become. Its the same thing with the 6700, the more stuff you put on there the slower it will become. I would recommend using SPB Backup to make a backup of your current configuration then do a hard reset and only install things to the main memory that starts when the device starts. install everything else to the storage card and see if you notice any increase in speed. Also, I would install one program at a time then use your device for a while to see if any particular app slows down your device. if you find that one or two apps are responsible then decide if you really need those apps or if there are alternatives that run faster. Hope this helps.
