You don't have to hard reset to do this just skip the reset and do the last part. and update profile it will work fine. Would have told you sooner but I just got home. :wink:

im still down for figuring it out, i just wanted to solve the ev-do/incoming call problem first. almost done, gotta restart my computer in a min for activsync reinstall

?? about the iota proccess. how do i know when its done. idoes the iota symbol up by ev-do smbol mean its still running?

wish I could help, but I don't live in an evdo area, so I haven't had to do that, thos instructions are from malatesta, I copied and pasted into my tutorial.

Go into settings --> phone --> services --> Internet and then tapped "start" to begin the IOTA process. This took a few minutes.

After doing all this, incoming calls now interrupt my EVDO sessions. Thats it. Hope this helps. Also refer to Stickey How to upgrade Sprint PPC6700 from the old to the new ROM

i just got mine on monday and it already has the new rom. i did what u said but still no calss in evdo

BigD5...you most certainly have to do a factory-reset (##786#) after the ROM update OR if it's a new phone with the ROM.

Once you do it though you are all set even if you do another hard-reset.

Updating the profile will NOT fix this...trust me, lots of us wish it were that easy!

It seems there MAY be an issue with NEWLY manufactured 6700's...specifically they cannot DO THIS ANYMORE... :shock:
