Broken USB / How to Flash from SD Card?

One of my USB data pins is broken inside my XV6700 (Apache). I've tried to fix them from the outside but I can't seem to get them to make contact with the pins on the USB cable.

I was in the process of playing with WM 6.1 and have a less than stellar ROM flashed right now and would like to get rid of it; however I can't get the USB cable to work. Just an FYI, I tried several computers and USB cables and it's definitely the connector on the Xv6700.

I've seen posts for other HTC devices that allow you to build an image for SD/MMC and a procedure that will go into a special mode of the bootloader that will read from SD/MMC. However I can't find anything specific to the Apache.

If that is possible, can someone point me in the right direction? I'd also like to flash my radio via SD if I can. I see where this is all possible on the Titan but I couldn't find where anyone else tried it.

Thanks,
illc0mm
