Easiest way is go get ppc6700hacks from trianglepowers.com
http://www.trianglepowers.com/ppc6700/Default.aspx
and uncheck the icon boxes on the first page.

Sure, there are regedits that do the same thing, but ppchacks does that and about 50 other useful thinkgs in <100k of space.

several ways to do this.

1. manually change the registry settings to remove the icons, once the icons are gone the bar will be gone giving you back all your precious today screen real estate.

do these changes:

To Remove Screen Rotation:

HKLM\services\screenrotate (change from 1 to 0 (zero)

To Remove the Wireless connection manager:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr and change the DWORD "Keep" to a value of 0,

Also, there is a very valuable resource here for registry hacks, lots more in

Hope this helps.
