Just do a search and you should be able to find plenty of posts about it.

Again, do another search or head over to the our wiki for several guides on building your own rom. the guides are very good with a lot of detailed instructions.

Pix- sorry to hear that about your pics. My intentions were towards fixing the bigger issues - about you not receiving the calls and it going straight to voicemail etc. I've had pic phones for a long long time and I can't remember needing to email a pic even once...nor anyone I personally know doing this, but I know people use it. Hopefully it's not that big a loss for you, or not as big as you might first think. I know it would drive me up the wall to have a function not working, even though I don't use it. Usually that attitude of "must fix everything" is mostly abundant in programmers. err--good ones anyway. ...and this brings me back to topic -

BigJ - I believe the remaining issues with the U.R.P. Kitchen will likely not be able to be fixed within the next few weeks. It has been nearly one month since your last update here. I would like to go ahead and state my vote that we accept it "as-is" and move forward with your next release.

Thank you for your time with this,

-Rage

Yeah, but you see Rage, as long as I dont have the pic mail hack installed, all of those things work just fine. It's crazy. And yeah, I do use mine alot because I have some friends who aren't local and we sned each other random 'picture-postcards' all the time. I can still receive pic mail the old-fashioned (slow) way, but I cant senfd it unless I go home, upload the pics and send them from the pc.
But all in all, I still love this rom.

So I came hoime, reflashed the rom completely, and still didn't work. SO I just decided I'd rather just forget about the stupid pic mail since it obviously doesn't *want* to be on my phone. lol
oh my g*d.... dude, you cant let the customizations run, it screws everything...

and on the note of moving forward, ill get 9.6 done shortly, not a lot of things going in, but my tests so far are a little more stable on the older hardware revisions so that is nice. I am also including a FULL flash .... radio/ext.rom/CE.rom so that will completely erradicate ext.rom issues for people as well as put them on the latest RADIO for their said provider.

i have been looking for information to make a complete ext.rom flash file, but all ive been able to dig up so far is how to make it flash empty. its progress just not the amazing "make my own ext.rom flash" that i was hoping for.

Thank you for the support, even here a month or so later. Ill update the to-do list later this week with what ive been working on.

Once you hard reset and go through the steps of alignment and time. The final step is to tap the screen and then the wait 3 sec until it customizes itself. before the 3 seconds count down, soft reset (stylus in hole reset). That will stop the customization.

I think this worked for me.

1. Flash the ROM
2. Soft reset before the 3 second window comes up after setting the time zone, etc.
3. Navigate to the folder \Extended ROM 2 from Activesync
4. Copy all of the files in there to your computer. **(NOTE: You'll need these files if you use a different ROM than this one that doesn't have the Sprint OEM package cooked into it.)**
5. Delete the files from \Extended ROM 2 on your phone after you have made your backup copy.
6. Hard Reset the phone.
7. Finish the time zone, etc info.

After this, the customization should not run and you'll be home free pixiebaby473! Let me know if you need any more help!

This will only work if the Extended ROM is unlocked, if not it will still go back in there.
