Rule of thumb over program placement: Never install the following anywhere but main storage:
1. Programs that set alarms
2. Today screen plugins
3. Device drivers

Anything that doesn't fall into one of those three categories should be fine for installing to Extended_ROM2.

This rom ROCKS!!!!!

This is the 3rd rom I've used from this board, and must say, it ROCKS!!!!! I went from Saridnour's to Imcokeman's to this one. Saridnour's included too many apps that I didn't use or want..... Imcokeman's was great, and closer to the slimmed down rom I wanted. Tried this one on a whim, and ain't lookin' back. Kirv, keep the great work up!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two Questions

1) Is Smartdialer fully functional? There was a problem with verizonguy's AKU 3.5 Smartdialer where the "Keypad" soft button didn't work once a call was in session.

2) Do the ## codes work properly without loading anything beyond this ROM image? (i.e., I normally reboot during the "Loading in 3 seconds" screen after the first boot. Do I have to load the Verizon Ext ROM files to get ## codes to work?)

Thanks for your work, Jeff!

Now that I've loaded Kirvin's AKU 3.5, I can answer my own questions:

1) Yes.

2) No, but lightsail's PhoneCode application works fine.

A nice bonus is that Bluetooth sync through ActiveSync seems to be working fine now.

Thanks, Jeff!

SDDialer.exe fix for a2dp

Here is the offical download to fix all SDDialer.exe issues, and works with this build. I personally like this more than the VC, but it is simple and works with my Oakley o-rokr glass-phones

http://www.cyberon.com.tw/tsvsd.htm - bottom of the thread

Thanks for the build, it works as described, and is a nice addition to my phone!
