Hey Jeff, thank you o so very much for a great, clean ROM. Works great on my Canadian 6700, God I love this phone.

Anyways no complaints so far, its fast, and seems reliable.

Hi, I apologize if this is a stupid question but...
I would like to add back in the Clear Storage, Terminal Services Client and Voice Speed Dial applications. Also I'd like to have Pocket MSN (really only MSN Messenger but it seems like it's all or nothing). Is there somewhere I can download those apps individually to add back in? I appreciate any help.

P.S. Why is the Camera shortcut gone now?

Sprint PPC-6700

I installed this rom and i'm getting an error everytime it boots up sddaemon- I don't know what that is also eveytime i tap on contacts or try to add a contact it will not open and theres allot of apps that where removed like terminal services, is there a way to fix all of this or do i have to go back to my old rom.

Thanks

Two Thumbs up to Jeff Kirvin

I would like to say thank you for your hard work developing the AKU 3.5. It is unbelievably fast and loaded with awesome features. I was hesitant at first to install this new ROM but I am glad I did. I can't believe I have 35 meg of memory. It was just like you said very clean and simple to install it would not take Rocket Scientist to do this and believe I am nothing close to one and yet I was able to do it. Thanks a million. I highly recommend this to everyone who is not a PDA brainy act. :P

Kervin,

can you just remove the MMS app and repackage this ROM? All I need is that removed and i'm a happy camper..

TIA!

Telus Noob,

-> any Telus' using this rom without issue?
-> what about removing the Sprint MMS?

I was able to extract the ROM nk.nbf file..

I did notice some Pocket MSN registry entries still in there..

I have been enjoying this rom on my alltel ppc-6700 for the past week! it is great!!

However, I have ran into two things,

1. My bluetooth gps has become unusable. I am not using the wm5 gps splitter, just straight to the app. I have tried 4 different apps, just to be sure it isn't a app compatibility problem. The data isn't flowing smoothly from the gps to the app. it will get 3 - 4 seconds of data, then freeze and not get any data for 5 - 8 seconds, then get 3-4 seconds of data, and so on. It all was working smoothly with the aku 2.2 that I had on there before. I am wondering if this is just a bad setting somewhere or a incompatible bt stack. I have a Globalsat BT-359w bt gps. The apps that I have tried are: Globalsat gps view, Iguidance 3.0.1, Smache, and Cachenav.

2. Not really anything wrong, but I miss the htc zip app from the stock and previous roms.

I hope I can get some info about getting this gps issue fixed, I have done som searching, and I have seen posts were others are using their gps with out problems. I'll have to go back to 2.2 if I can't get this working. :(

Thanks guys!

Battery Life

Hi all,

I upgraded my wife's VX6700 over the weekend using Jeff's ROM. She absolutely loves the new functionality. including the new dialer. She is having one issue, and that is the battery life on the device is being consumed really fast in comparison to what it was with the previous ROM. Is anyone seeing the same result? Is there something new I have to configure?

Thanks,
Steve
