I just integrated the BT fixes into this ROM and successfully updated my phone. However, I was using the original Clean Kirvin ROM and never really had any BT issues except for skipping music with Coreplayer and WMP. Mortplayer worked like a charm. If it's ok with Jeff, I can post the files.

Post away, that's why I posted the kitchen. I can't update it anymore myself.

Thanks Jeff. I didn't see how to make the ROM a self installing executable like your releases, do you have a link for that?

Been running really well so far. No BT issues, didn't really have any with the original pre-release kitchen release. This ROM definitely is faster and more responsive though. I love it.

Anyhow, once I figure out how to make it one executible I will post Jeff's kitchen with the BT updates.

Packaging the installer is so simple it's almost cheating. Just use WinRar or your archiver of choice to pack the install folder from the kitchen (wherever nk.nbf ends up) as an SFX archive. Set it unpack to a temp folder and automatically run ROMUpgradeUt.exe (for Sprint ROMs) or APACUpgradeUt_noID.exe (for other carriers).

LOL! I didn't even think of that. I was about to fire up NSIS.

OK, here's a self installer with Kirvin's Clean and Simple generic kitchen with JBabey's BT fixes.
Kirvin_kitchen_BT_update.exe

I am using Jeff's C&S for Sprint and have a similar question. I have not yet fully checked how well my BT is working, but there's are indications that it is not 100% functional - that is my ThinkOutside Stowaway Mouse shows up as a BT device, but even though the Keyboard works, it does not show as a known device.

Anyway, I used the new Sprite Backup program designed for ROM upgrades to go from Jeff's earlier 3.5 to the Kitchen final. I had to reinstall some programs but all in all that worked reasonably well.

I am not sure I understand the benefit of having the necessary Sprint CABs built into the ROM as that takes space in main memory. By building them in do they take even less memory? Besides they can be removed from the extended ROM and only put back if a hard reset is needed.

Anyway, I would consider switching to Jeff's C&S for any carrier from the Sprint one to take advantage of the BT fixes but would like to know if I restore suing the Sprite ROM upgrade procedure whether I would overwrite the BT fixes?

For those attempting this update, be forewarned: I just updated to this BT fix this morning, and my Acura TL HFL suddenly hung up in the middle of every call (3 calls) I made over the HFL. It is possible that this image may be less stable for Bluetooth than the original Kirvin's C&S 4All.

I will keep y'all posted.

That's strange GotJazz,

I haven't had any problems with my BT, but then again I never really had problems in the past either.
