NEw ROM and Voice Command

I have Saridnours’ AKU 3.5+ Rom installed, though I have been unable to successfully apply the SAR.3.5.pr4sp1.cab, I get the following when opening the .cab file.

"Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate."

But my issue is with Voice Command. The instructions are very clear.

"*NOTE1: Voice command had the EXE removed as this is commercial software. All you need to do is copy your EXE in to the windows dir and create a shortcut to the startup folder and it will be functional and mapped to button #5."

So I look on my PC in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Voice Command\Windows Mobile Pocket PC\US 1.50 and find the "Microsoft Voice Command US PPC 1.50.PPC420_StrongARM.CAB", open it and there is not an executable there.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Easiest way to get the voicecmd.exe that you need is to install the VC cab on your phone in its full package. Then go to Program Files\Voice Command and copy the voicecmd.exe to your storage card. Now with a hard reset, all you need to do is copy the .exe from the storage card to \Windows.[/quote]

First of all, this rom requires version 1.6 if i am not mistaking. You need to upgrade to that first. then once you install it on your ppc, copy the exe file from your ppc to the desktop or storage card. hard reset, then now copy the exe file to the windows folder.
Faster way is to get a cab manager like win ce cab manager, extract the exe file from the cab (this is done on your desktop) and you now have the exe file.

Yeap that was it, I used Win CE cab manager and VC 1.6 and it works after a couple of soft-resets.

Thanks!

Trub: I just updated the "SAR.3.5.pr4sp1.cab" file on the FTP in the event that it was changes/corrupted by someone. So try downloading it again and see if that's the issue. Also note PR5 will be out in a week or so if your still having issues. A hard reset and application of sp2 will most likely work though if your in a hurry. If it was not a bad cab, its probably another app causing the issue.

Glad to hear you got VC running. It really is the way to go.

Hmmm copied the voicecmd.exe to the rest of the OEM and upon a hard reset, pressed button 5 and there's an error message saying "voicecmd.exe cannot be opened because it is not signed...blah blah." I then went into settings and enable it. After that it worked.

Weird. So we missing that registry anywhere?

Bluetooth headset always on mute...?

Hey guys, I have been happy with 3.3.3 for some time. I did upgrade to a 3.5 rom, then came back to 3.3.3.
Now, bluetooth headset doesn't work! I can hear the person on the line just fine, yet they cannot hear me. I have tried putting in my VC 1.6 into /windows directory, etc., to no avail.

I have used the headset just fine with my RAZR. Any ideas?

Thanks!
