Apache doesnt bootup with extended battery

I purchased two oem brand new extended bateries, although the phone doesnt start up with them. I have to put in my old slim battery, then conect to power, and replace the battery. If anyone has any ideas please reply

Do you have your cradle? You can charge the battery in the cradle without having it in the phone (even the extended ones). Try charging the extended battery in the cradle by itself for a few hours first and try again.

I agree that I think the batts are dead too far to power on by themselves. To add onto what TechnoHippie said, you should also be able to have the ext batt in the phone and place the phone in the cradle and even though it may be dead, I THINK it should still turn on and boot up. You said OEM EXT Batt BTW, who is the manufacture of it and what sizes did you buy?
