In theory, you can. However, I would suggest the safer route of installing the whole Official upgrade and then moving back to the custom roms.

I would get this:
http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/d...0_WWE_Ship.exe Once you have it you can unzip the .exe (I use winrar and it works well) into a directory of your choosing. Once the exe is unziped go to the Outputfile directory and grab radio._nbf and put it in the same directory as the colonel 3.5 ROM. From there you just follow the normal flash procedures that colonel posted. Having the radio._nbf will cause the phone to upgrade the radio after the CE rom is flashed. Be advised, if you keep it there, it will update the radio every time you flash so if you dont want to do this (why would you), I suggest moving the file out of there once you have updated the radio..... Hope this helps. |

I will check the ftp server, but at utstar.com there is none for Sprint that is specifically labeled as 2.2 (just says fix or update -- I want to be sure I get the right one).

MrHappy, you are correct. I just advise the other way to keep people from accidentally installing the wrong thing. It takes a bit longer, but installing a package from an Official upgrade is a safer route.

I've got 2 6700s (well ok, the wife has one of em) and I updated my radio, left hers at 1.12... they function about the same, really, with the base 1.1 AKU 3.5 rom.
I did my alone, but can't find the topic here - it was "upgrade bit by bit" or something. |
