who is the carrier you are going to switch to???
If Sprint is on your list...the do it online at www.sprint.com/sero and use the savings@sprintemi.com to login and order (i just used this address about a week ago and it worked).
It lets you transfer your number thru the online proccess too... and the plans are amazing and cheaper than any other carrier (they all include UNLIMITED picturemail, internet and texting, no matter which plan you choose).
Hope that helps...i dislike the prices of AT&T for internet, too high..
