How to format the Extended ROM?

I need to format the extended ROM of my apache.

Somehow all the files in my extended ROM are missing but the space is gone as well. I tried to put some files and delete them but it did not help, I need to clean completely the Extended ROM, what can I do?

I am not aware of a utilitry that will 'format' the EXT ROM.

Did you have the EXT ROM unlocked and accessable, if so why?

DO you even show the EXT ROM in your file directory because you cannot clean it if it isnt there.
