changing bootsplash back to factory after colnels 3.5

I searched and came up with some posts that looked rather complicated and was wondering if there is an easy way to get the sprint logo back. Also I saw a sprint no junk ext rom on the ftp and was wondering how to replace mine with that one. thanks in advance

1. Sprint Splash Screen: Yes, you need to download the apachesplash program. Once you get it, you will need to run a cab file called enablerapi (or something like that) on the 6700. After doing so, connect the 6700 to usb, and run the apachesplash program on the PC. It will ask you what splash file you want to use (all carriers should be in the directory it opens). Select sprint, it will process it, then it will soft reset the phone automatically. It should boot the new splash screen upon the soft reset.

2. Extended Rom - There is a sticky thread on this. It is easy. You need to run two unlock programs on your phone (get them from the thread). Soft reset, and when you use file explorer on the 6700, you should now see Ext_rom (just like a storage card would show up). Just copy the no junk files to the ext_rom. You must make sure they are all set to "read only". Next time you hard reset it will install the no junk extended rom.

Let me know if you have any problems.

I have been changing the boot screen without installing the enablerapi cab, for some reason i think its in colonels custom rom now. I had it in my extended rom but removed it once i realised i didnt need it anymore to run the apachesplash.exe someone should please confirm this as it works for me.

Can I put my own splash screen in the phone using the above process? Does it allow a "browse" option on selecting the splash file?

Thanks

Answered my own question again! The file listed above has a converter for files and the instructions are easy to follow!
