xv6700 with sprint

I tried the search but i couldn't really find anything.

Has anyone tried activating a xv6700 verizon version phone with sprint?

what are the necessary changes needed to do something like this?

Is this considered illegal?

If this is a bad thread , sorry i didn't know honestly.

I think it would be quite awesome to keep using the same unit with a different service.

Somewhat of a question of, is this phone unlocked, but since it has wm5 and a extended rom to worry about, im asking to find out what has to be done.

TIA

yes and no. technically it can be done by ~"illegally" changing the esn to another sprint phone. however, sprint won't activate non-sprint phones without their esn already being in the system. which means, you have to go through an awful lot of trouble to get it activated, and I can't guarantee it will work properly with email etc. but yes, to answer your question, it is possible, "technically".
