The 6700 is gone, Sprint replaced with 6800.

So after all that work over the weekend. I have to give thanks to those who helped. Weedahoe and his friend (Unknown Zone) supplied the tricked out WM5 which I thought to be Worlds better than any 6.1 I've downloaded.

Anyway, I took the 6700 to a Sprint store because the battery was toast and only lasted about 30 minutes. They didn't have any 6700 batteries to give me nor could they help with the stylus housing since it's in the antenna. So after about an hour they handed me a 6800. I was kinda bummed because I really like the 6700 but they told me there are none to be found. Since I pay for TEP they can't let me walk out with nothing on my account.

Re: The 6700 is gone, Sprint replaced with 6800.

congrads..on the 68....really, I am hoping my 67 will last till the end of the yr so that I can buy a "Raphael" for Xmas..lol, and have the 67 on the side just incase the Rap goes in for repairs you never know.

I guess you are off to the 68 forum , I am glad I was able to help you out, heck I might even see you there if my 67 dont make it by the end of the yr and I get replaced with a 68.

Re: The 6700 is gone, Sprint replaced with 6800.

sigh.. I know how you feel. I was all sad when I got a 6800 instead of a 6700 for replacement, but now I am glad. It has been an awesome phone, with being smaller, same features and more, (wifi g, storage memory and GPS and REV A net) it really is a better phone. Plus the official kitchen being out and stuff, I have actually done more to my 6800 than I did to my apache, which i had for quite some time and did a lot with.

Congrats on the 6800. You will like it!

Re: The 6700 is gone, Sprint replaced with 6800.

I'm no stranger to the 6800. This will be my 5th one. It's the memory issue I have a problem with. The 6700 with the WM5 was much more snappier. With 6.1 being released in a few weeks I'm sure I will be happy I hope. I also own a Motorola Q9C which I love. When I don't want to deal with a touch screen I switch to that. Plus I like the front style keyboard. I will be getting the Palm Treo 800 when it comes out in July.

I'm bummed. I wanted to keep the 6700. It was not refurbished, had 9000+ calls and 28,000+ minutes on her.

I ordered a 2400MAH extended battery and door for it. Hasn't arrived yet but if anyone is interested send me a PM. I'll take $15 shipped for it.

Well I understand the loss of the 67 for the 68 but most people would be happy about it. I myself like the 67 a lot but am ready for something new and like Unknown Zone, I am waiting to see about the Raphael and the full specs. I MIGHT just stay with VZW but if I do the only realy reason is because of the corporate discount I get.

I'm waiting for the Raphael as well, full VGA display, more ram and rom, looks very sweet. Not that I would refuse a 6800 if they gave me one when I take this one back to verizon (bad digitizer). Of course, I've also considered going with something like a blackberry pearl and a small eee style laptop.. We'll have to see how things shake out...

Re: The 6700 is gone, Sprint replaced with 6800.

That's really funny they couldn't find a 6700 battery for you, because I went in just yesterday to get a replacement battery for my phone and he handed me a 6700 battery by mistake

I can't believe you wouldn't want a 6800 over the 6700 though, it's definitely superior....
