"Notes" links in Dialer. Where is the command pass

For the life of me I can not find where the link to notes is passes from the dialer or the "menu" ->"create note" menu option. My Rom is failing to start the notes app and I can not find where this is being passed or what exactly is being called. I have diff'd a number of roms and do not see any missing REG data that would indicate it was missing anything. Notes starts and runs fine as well as the notes in contacts. It just seems limited to the dialer.

Is this working in other roms? Is this calling the standard notes app (don't use it so I just want to make sure).

Any info will help.

Thanks

A quick suggestion. I've installed PocketInformant on mine, so I can't tell offhand... but I can definitely say that my dialer launches the PI notes app instead of Outlook. If you're willing to take a quick gander at it, you can get a registry snapshot beforehand, install PocketInformant, and set that as the default PIM. You can then see if it works, then take another registry snapshot and compare if it does. I believe it might be something in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai, although I'm not sure about that.
