I should have noted that I have a xv6700 and this would be a verizon update. I don't remember where, but I know I saw someone on a forum state that Sprint has said they will do no more updates to the ppc6700.

And just for the record, I would have been a little more excited if it had been 3.5 for the update, or 6 for the 6800, as it is I saw it as good news for us.

We can at least get a better base to build from - that's it, oh and a better build for the 'other users' so we don't have to be 'tech support' for as many people...

assuming the update is only for the verizon, how hard is it going to be to modify it for sprint users?

I anxious to get this rom and then tweak it to make it as stable enough... Also hopefully once the WM 6.0 rom is released for upgrades or something along those lines or a 6800 user could dump his/her rom image then we can modify the 6700 to be able to have some of the WM 6.0 features ..
