Lightbulb Stereo Headset for Apache?

Will any 2.5mm jack corded headset work in full stereo with the XV6700? I'd prefer this as my car has an Aux jack i currently use with my iPod. What about the mini USB headsets?

Re: Stereo Headset for Apache?

Ive never seen a mini USB headset personally but the issue is that the USB port on the 67 is for power and data, not audio. As for will any 2.5 give stereo? It will have to have 3 conductors on the plug and not just 2. But you could always just get a stereo BT headset and make it wireless and easy.

Re: Stereo Headset for Apache?

Yes, the 2.5 adapter will work. I use the aux jack in my car with no problem. I wanted to be able to create a hands-free set up, so I bought a Seidio audio adapter with microphone (2.5 male to 3.5 female) and got a 1-ft 3.5 male-3.5 male cable to go into my radio aux jack.

The 6700 fits great in a cheap vent-mount holder designed for iPhones that I got at Best Buy, so I just have to pop the phone in and I'm good to go.

When I'm really bored and stuck in traffic, I'll sometimes even fire up Slingplayer, listen to TV in full stereo, and (very occasionally) glance at the picture.
