Thanks, Evidently the keypad cable was loose. i opened it up and tightened it. unfortunately, in the process i broke the volume switch. i had to buy a beater, desolder that one and put it on mine. took about 30 minutes but my phone is working 100% now

If anyone needs help completely replacing the usb piece, power connector or the volume control box, let me know. i'm a pro now.
