Yes you can listen to music, dent know of any way to set the ring tones thing its usual just generic. However if you are going to have the blue tooth on your ear all the time you can set the BBTogle to audio gate way and the ring tone you set will play in the BT, but there will be no sound from the PPC at all, everything goes to the BT. As far as the best I have been hearing good things about the gennum nxzen 5500 plus, but I haven't tried it. I have a JX10 and I get a lot of complaints about back ground noise. Very clear, loud and sounds good in quiet locations, small light and comfortable. Hope that helps.

the only phone that i have seen that actually plays the ringtone through the headset is the nokias. with the nokia when u have it connected via bluetooth to a standard bluetooth headset all keytones and ringtones are heard throught the headset.

also i have noticed with the bt toggle when u hit the power button the bt toggle shuts off. so i dont think that option will work. and also when u have the bt toggle on u will hear static the whole time the gateway is open. unless there is music coming out of the headset.
