Help, My touch screen broke!

anyone have a 6700 for parts or something? somehow my touch screen cracked today

I would search eBay for a replacement screen or a parts phone. The screen seems to be the most common part to go. Last time I looked for a parts phone, I found twenty on eBay, all with broken screens.

When you DO replace it, do a search on xda forums. They have a walkthrough on replacing the LCD and digitizer.

I found just hte touch screen,, not the entire screen for $5.. so I ordered one, as well as a complete replacement for $33. I figure I can hpefully fix the old one and have a spare this way.

I just hope they get shipped today and not next week.

Great. Be very careful when working on the screen as it is easy to bust off other parts. My battery connector and my usb connector fell off while I was servicing the screen. Here is the link to the xda forum thread on replacing the screen.

Last time I cracked my screen, I took it in to the Sprint Service center and they gave me a new 6700 for $55. Just be careful if you try to replace it yourself. They said their replacement screen did not work becuase of some compatibility issue between older and newer generations of screens.
